STRUCTURE
AND ORGANIZATION
The Public Prosecution
Office of the Republic of Macedonia is organized on the basis of
the principles of hierarchy and subordination. According the Public
Prosecution Act the Public Prosecution is organized on three levels
as follows:
- The Public Prosecution
Office of the Republic of Macedonia (Public Prosecutor and his/her
deputies - 10) attached to the Supreme Court of the Republic of
Macedonia in proceedings of extraordinary legal remedies. There
are three departments in the Public Prosecution Office of the
Republic of Macedonia: Criminal, Civil and Department for International
Co-operation;
- High Public Prosecution
Offices in Skopje, Bitola and Stip attached to the compatible
Courts of Appeal in Skopje, Bitola and Stip in appeal proceedings;
- Primary Public
Prosecution Offices - 22 that are attached to the compatible Primary
Courts in the Republic of Macedonia in first degree proceedings.
